Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK)

Designed and built by Nyoman Nuarta, one of Indonesia’s foremost modern sculptor, the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue or GWK and its pedestal building will be standing 150 meters tall with its wings span 64 meters across. Made from more than 4000 tons of copper and brass, the statue is picturing Lord Wisnu, as the source of wisdom, riding on the back of the mythical bird Garuda as the manifestation of conscience toward Amerta, the perennial goodness.

Uluwatu Temple

Uluwatu temple is one ot the oldest temple in Bali, located at Pecatu village around 25 kms from Denpasar (the capital of Bali). The temple was built by a Hindu holy priest name’s Mpu Kuturan in 11 century to dedicated of the God Rudra. The temple is stand on the coral hill stick out in to the sea about 80 meters on the sea level.

Kecak and Fire dance

Kecak Dance performed on the eastern side of Uluwatu Temple., The Kecak dance performance is very simple. The men’s chorus chants the words Cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak, in rhythm, over and over again, For this reason they are called the Kecak or Cak dance. The Kecak dances consist of about fifty men wearing only a loin-cloth, the upper part of their bodies left bare. They form rows of circles, in teh middle of which is a coconut oil lamp. The Kecak dance is performed for dance-dramas and the story presented is take from the Ramayana epic. Ticket fee at 70,000 rupiahs/person

Jimbaran Bay

Taman Ayun located at Mengwi village, huge state temple of Mengwi kingdom surrounded by wide moat, and it was built in 1634. Located at Kukuh village in Tabanan regency. About 500 population monkeys in this forrest. Inside of the forrest there is very old temple (Alas Kedaton Temple). Big fruit bats hanging in high trees in the dat time and will go to outside for feed in the night time. A lot shop on the way to the forrest and the local guide (one of the shop keeper) will accompany you to see the monkeys around and on the end they will ask you to visit their shop for souvenirs. Tanah Lot Temple
Tanah Lot temple is one of the populer tourism object in Bali, located at Beraban village in Tabanan regency it is about 30 kms from denpasar.The temple is on the edge of the beach on the small rock island facing to Indonesian ocean. The temple was built by one of Hindu holy priest from Java name’s Danghyang Nirartha in 16 century. On the northern side of temple there is a cave as a place of ocean snakes live. They are stripe snakes with black and whit colours. The snake is very tame and Balinese people believed they are the snake of the god and as the guards of the temple. Tohpati village located on the eastern part of Denpasar, and welknown as a fine product of Batik painting cloth in Bali. It’s just a view minutes from Sanur (one of the best tourist and hotel area in Bali) and very close to Batubulan village where the traditional Barong dance perform everyday. We can see how the worker to do his job to make the batik in their workshop.

Silver Smith Painting and Wood Carving
The gold and silver smith is at Celuk village, location is close to Batubulan village where the Barong dance performanced. There are a lot of hug silver shop in this village. The wood carving village name’s Mas village and Kemenuh village, both village produce very good quality of wood carving made from very hard wood such as teak, mahogany, ebony, and hibiscus wood. all the wood imported from Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi and Borneo (Kalimantan). Painter village name’s Batuan and Lod Tunduh village . The artist on this village created a lot of variety of painting even in modern or traditional style. Then continued to see Balinese traditional house compund at Batuan village.

Tegalalang Rice Terraces
This village is famous with beatiful rice terraces and handicraft center. The rice terraces has beautiful view with coconut trees and small beautiful valey. Tegalalang village is welknown with the village of handicrafts center specially for wholesale and export. Along of the road you will see a lot of shop, They sell variety painted wood carving product made from very light wood with reasonable price. they do sell their handicrafts for retail too. No entrance fee cost. After here we continued the trip to Ubud for having lunch at fine local restaurant

Monkey Forrest
The monkeys within the secred forrest of Padang Tegal are commonly long tiled macaques. Their scientific name is Macaca fascicuiaris. In Bali there are Balinese long tiled macaque troops (populations) that live in areas where they have litle to no contact with the humans and Troops that come in to contact with the humans on a reguler basis. On the western part of the forrest is Dalem temple dedicated of the Siwa God. In the eastern part is Cemetry and Prajapati temple dedicated of Durga god (wife of the Siwa God). Ulundanu Bratan Temple – Temple in the lake the temple well known with Ulundanu Temple Ulun it’s mean heart and danu it’s mean lake, the temple dedicated to the Gods of lake or waters (Danu Gods), the lake supply a lot of water to the rice field. The temple founded in 17th century by the King of Mengwi. In outside yard there is Buddhist temple and big Banyan tree.
